War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing.

I haven't really been doing "hot takes" on this blog, but I think in some cases such as this news today it is warranted because silent acquiescence makes us complicit.
War with Iran is absolutely the worst decision that could have possibly been made outside of nuclear action, but we decided to let the idiots run things and this is the outcome. A president who orders bombings of three separate Iranian facilities and at the same time declares, "Now is the time for peace!"
We're well into the war-is-peace-and-up-is-down stage of our dying empire, things appear to be moving along as scheduled.
I never agreed with G.W. Bush and I still think he's terrible, but I remember his administration taking great pains to define the Iraq war and other adventures in the Middle East as secular operations to avoid starting anything that looked like a religious war. Even though Iraq and Afghanistan and the whole "war on terror" always felt like religious war, because it was, the branding was good enough to provide cover and allow some Muslims to go along with it.
This time around we've gotten none of that.
Instead what we get are a bunch of Christian nationalist gleefully helping their Zionist buddies start a holy war.
This is going to be a disaster.
