I guess we all felt it coming for a while, and even though I can't put my finger on when exactly Twitter started to suck, the fact that I'm posting about how much it sucks here instead of there sort of tells you everything you need to know.
I think the last ten times I've gone to post something on Twitter it didn't feel worth posting, not with all of the other drama on the timeline. You don't want to be a distraction right?
I also noticed that a lot of the people I cared about following, and a lot of important posts, were missing. Maybe I was missing them because I was on there less, or maybe I was on there less because I was missing those posts?
For me, Twitter was best when I was tweeting for myself and a handful of really close friends. So I'm back on my blog where I'm pretty sure I can blast my thoughts out into the ether where for-sure no one will care, and if anyone does, I can disable comments. If someone wants to screenshot my blog posts and drag me I won't even know, so I kind of like that part too.
Maybe it'll also give me an excuse to fix things up around here 🛠️
